It’s bowing concrete figure reflected in the water beneath, the Ju Gong Bridge, for which Wil Carson was the Project Designer at Michael Maltzan Architecture, creates a new key nexus within the urban fabric of Chengdu, the cultural heart of China’s Sichuan Province. The project was developed in collaboration with CABR, noted structural engineers for projects including Linked Hybrid. It a central element in a 565-acre masterplan which has transformed the outskirts of Chengdu into a vibrant landscape where infrastructure, new development, and the natural world are interwoven one into the next.
