The Five A Side Table, developed for Parisian furniture manufacturer Specimen Editions, inscribes a pentagonal profile which rotates as it rises, pirouetting as if frozen in motion. The table combines a taut geometric rigor and formal precision available in a rich material palette of woods and metals. The design’s centripetal logic creates a fluid, layered figure which continuously transforms as the viewer moves past, capturing a dynamic spirit in a fixed form.

Inverting the traditional structure of most tables, the design gesture for the table begins at its base, spiraling upward. The table’s five legs splay outward, tapering gently as they rise. The tabletop’s beveled edge creates the perception not of a heavy slab, but of a delicate plane, with an optional metal inlay echoing the lines and logic of the geometry beneath. The table, launched at Maison&Objet, is available in maple, walnut, and ebony finishes.
