As an Associate Director at 64North, Sam Flower is responsible for the design, management, and construction of a diversity of the studio’s luxury single family residences and estates, as well as creative office, mixed-use, multifamily, and retail projects. He also leads 64North’s digital design and visualization practice, ensuring each of 64North’s projects can leverage recent innovations in documentation, representation, augmented and virtual reality, and successfully integrate them into fabrication and construction.

Prior to joining 64North, designed and oversaw the construction of projects in the Washington, D.C. and Baltimore area for Quinn Evans Architects, for notable cultural, higher education, laboratory, and governmental clients including the Smithsonian, Johns Hopkins University, the U.S. State Department, and the Government of Japan. Sam was also a project manager for Tom Wiscombe Architecture, focusing on the design and construction of luxury single family residences as well as civic projects both in Los Angeles and Utah, as well as designing creative office projects for Testa & Weiser. He has taught both undergraduate and graduate architectural history and theory classes in addition to design studio at the Southern California Institute of Architecture, as well as working in exhibition design for Temple University’s Tyler School of Art.

Born in Washington, D.C., Sam grew up both in the U.S. and the UK, and received his Masters in Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture and a Bachelors of Science in Architecture from Temple University. Outside of the studio, Sam can be found cycling, rock climbing, and enjoying the outdoors.
