As 64North’s Senior Associate Director of Architecture & Construction Management, Elliot Nelson has been responsible for the design, management, and construction of many of the practice’s largest, most complex single family residences and estates as well as select higher education, cultural, luxury multifamily projects. In addition to his design work, Elliot also leads 64North’s construction management practice, overseeing all aspects of construction from initial bid to final completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and at the highest possible level of quality.

Previous to joining 64North, Elliot was a Senior Project Manager at Jorge Mastropietro Architects Atelier (JMA), where he designed and managed mixed-use and multifamily residential projects in New York, as well as luxury single family residences and interiors. He served clients at the intersection of architecture and real estate, working with developers and investors to create and evaluate potential projects and financial models. This involved extensive construction management with a focus on managing construction costs, including through materials research and offshore sourcing. He is also experienced in navigating historically sensitive contexts and creating projects that work in harmony with their larger urban fabric. Prior to his work at JMA, Elliot was a lead designer with Klingmann Architecture + Brandscapes, a multidisciplinary agency combining planning, architecture, and branding for clients in New York, Berlin, and Dubai.

Born in Seattle, Elliot graduated from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo with a degree in architecture and also studied at Germany’s Dessau Institute of Architecture. In addition to his work, he also enjoys cooking, travel, and weekends at the beach.
