As 64North’s Associate Director for Architecture & Development, Melissa Anderson is responsible for the design, management, and construction of the many of the practice’s multifamily, mixed-use, and hospitality projects. Her work draws on a decade of experience integrating design, documentation, coordination, and construction to ensure projects are realized in a manner comprehensive and efficient from schematics to final punch list.

Prior to joining 64North, Melissa was a Project Manager at Urban Architecture Lab (UAL), where she led the successful development and construction of a wide range of multifamily, mixed-use, and hospitality projects. There, her work included West Hollywood’s 105-key LaPeer Hotel with Kimpton; 277, 141, and 53-unit for-profit multifamily projects; and 93, 92, and 54-unit affordable housing projects for clients including the West Hollywood Community Housing Corporation. Prior to her work at UAL, Melissa was a designer at Hanson LA, where her work included a 450-unit, 34-story tower in Los Angeles’ historic core; Ten50, a 151-unit, 20-story tower in South Park 1.75M SF mixed-use residential, hotel, retail, and entertainment project in the Fashion District. She also worked for Jean-Paul Viguier and Associates in Paris.

Born in Kansas, Melissa studied architecture at the University of Kansas and completed her Masters at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture Paris Val de Seine. Outside 64North, she experiments with 3D printed fabrication processes at scales ranging from lost-wax metal furniture to concrete dwellings. She is an avid motorcyclist and enjoys weekends on Southern California’s canyon roads.
